CONCORD, MA – Further details have been released in the case of Thursday’s pedestrian accident in Concord.
According to WCVB, the victim has been identified as Concord woman Jennifer Bemis, 67, who was walking along a crosswalk at Main Street and Thoreau when she was hit by a 2010 black Toyota Corolla Matrix.
The Toyota, driven by a 91-year-old woman from Littleton, reportedly dragged her about 50 feet before trapping her beneath the vehicle’s rear axle.
Bemis was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead from injuries sustained during the collision.
There have been no charges filed against the Littleton woman at the time of writing.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.
