ANDOVER, MA – An elderly woman collided with two vehicles before crashing into a Panera Bread restaurant in Andover this morning, according to WCVB.
The accident happened on 58 Peters Street at around 11 a.m., when a 78-year-old woman drove her 2017 Cadillac Escalade into two other vehicles in the parking lot. The silver Escalade then crashed through the front of the restaurant.
Despite the dramatic damage caused to the building, nobody was reported as injured.
Witnesses at the scene believe that the woman accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.
The identity of the woman has not been publicly released.
The building will be investigated by an inspector.
