BOSTON, MA. – A multiple-vehicle crash occurred in the O’Neil Tunnel, causing a three-mile backup on I-93 this morning.
According to NBC 10 Boston, the multiple-vehicle crash occurred at around 5:00 a.m. MassDOT spokeswoman Jacquelyn Goddard confirmed that traffic was backed up for three miles starting at exit 18 on the northbound side of the highway.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the accident, and it is not yet known if anyone was injured. We are monitoring this developing story and will update our blog with details as they are released.
