FALL RIVER, MA – Police say a motorcyclist killed in an accident in Fall River over the weekend has been identified, NBC Boston reports.
The victim was 35-year-old Gary Amaral of Fall River. Massachusetts State Police said he crashed on Veterans Memorial Bridge early Sunday morning and was ejected from the motorcycle, landing in the Taunton River. Dive teams and a helicopter crew conducted a search for him, joined by the Coast Guard.
Some of Amaral’s clothing was discovered later, and a body washed up on the shore Monday. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday that it was that of Amaral.
