25-Year-Old Motorcyclist Suffers Multiple Severe Injuries in Easton Accident

December 14, 2020

EASTON, MA – A 25-year-old motorcyclist sustained severe injuries after colliding with a pickup truck in Easton last week, according to The Enterprise.

The accident happened near the intersection of Washington Street and Purchase Street at about 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, when the 72-year-old driver of a Ford pickup truck failed to yield the right of way and collided with Bridgewater man Brian Andruk, who was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Andruk was ejected approximately 20 feet from the motorcycle.

He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for the treatment of multiple serious injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.

The operator of the Ford, Bridgewater man Ronald Olson, was not reported as injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.

This motorcycle crash is one of the many daily accidents that occur in the Boston area. Unfortunately, motorcyclists are at a disadvantage in collisions, because they lack the protections and safety features of other motor vehicles.
