BOSTON, MA – A woman was hit by the driver of a stolen pickup truck near the Boston Public Garden yesterday, according to a report by NBC Boston. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
The collision happened near Charles Street and Boylston Street just before 4:30 p.m., when a woman—who was not publicly identified—was struck by the driver of a black pickup truck that had been reported as stolen.
The suspect then crashed the truck into a gate and fled the scene on foot.
The victim reportedly screamed for help and was initially treated at the scene by a witness. Emergency responders took her to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities continue to search for the driver and to investigate the case.
