COHASSET, MA – A woman was injured and later charged with multiple offenses including DUI after she crashed her vehicle into a railroad crossing in Cohasset last weekend.
According to NBC Boston, the accident happened near a commuter station on N Main St at about 10 p.m. Saturday. The suspect, a 58-year-old Scituate woman, crashed a red pickup truck into the railroad crossing.
The collision toppled the signals, supports, and lights for the crossing, causing blockages in both lanes of traffic on Main.
Authorities say the suspect seemed intoxicated, and took her to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.
The woman, who was not publicly identified, is facing multiple charges, including DUI, a marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a vehicle.
