News: Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by car in Cotuit

COTUIT, MA. – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries after being struck by a car on Wednesday night.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Falmouth Road (Route 28) at Geraldine Road. According to CapeCod.com, Barnstable Police responded to reports of a pedestrian who was hit by a 2010 Ford Mustang that was heading east on Route 28. Officers found the victim lying on the south side of Route 28 with severe injuries. The driver of the Mustang was uninjured in the crash, and the vehicle had moderate damage to the hood and windshield.

The victim was treated at the scene by Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills first responders and was subsequently airlifted to a Boston-area hospital. The victim is currently listed in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation, and we will update this post as details become available.
