HOPKINTON, MA – A person is dead following an accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike yesterday afternoon, according to CBS Boston.
The accident happened at about 3:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway, near Hopkinton.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was walking along one of the lanes when a 40-year-old man from Hebron, Connecticut, struck them with his car.
The victim died at the scene.
No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
