CHARLESTOWN, MA – An MBTA employee was hit by a bus and killed while he was walking to work at the Charlestown bus yard Monday morning, the Boston Herald reports.
The worker was later identified as 18-year MBTA veteran Bernadin Etienne.
Etienne was reporting to his bus at 5 a.m. when he was hit and seriously injured by a second bus. Emergency responders took him to Massachusetts General Hospital, where the 62-year-old died later that day.
MBTA officials said that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
