BOSTON, MA – A child was seriously injured and an adult was hurt after they were struck by a car in the Dorchester area yesterday, according to WHDH.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Melville Street at about 10 a.m., when a driver crashed into two pedestrians, an adult and a child.
The child was taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe injuries, while the adult suffered only minor wounds.
Neither of the victims was identified in the report.
The driver, who also was not identified, remained at the scene of the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.
