KINGSTON, MA – An 18-month-old child was injured and airlifted to a Boston hospital after she was hit by a pickup truck in Kingston this weekend, according to the Kingston Wicked Local.

The accident happened on Station Street at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday, when the child was hit by a 2004 Dodge Dakota under unknown circumstances.

The toddler was briefly treated on the scene, then airlifted to Children’s Hospital in stable condition. She is expected to survive and is reportedly recovering well after the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck, an 88-year-old man from Pembroke, is not likely to face charges.

Authorities did not release the identity of those involved or the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The collision remains under investigation.
